DreamHack Dallas 2025

DreamHack was back in Dallas and I was ready to game! I’ve been going to this gaming event for about 4 years now. Each year I’ve seen an increase in racing simulators and it’s been awesome to see what the market has grown to.
At this year’s event, Lamborghini had a massive installation. The centerpiece of the installation was the incredible looking Lamborghini Revuelto. On one side of the Lambo stage were multiple sim setups from MOZA Racing. They were running the R16 base with the Lamborghini SCV12 steering wheel. There was one on the rigs that had the MOZA mBooster Active Pedal which is a brake pedal with feedback.
The Red Bull booth had Fanatec Clubsport Racing Wheel F1 rigged up to a Red Bull branded F1 Playseat. It was a little uncomfortable to get in and out of it but I’d probably attribute it to them needing to put it in a one size fits all position. Now once you sit in it, I was loving how the F1 position was. I did a few laps on F1 24 at Circuit of the Americas and the feel of the Fanatec was good to feel what the front tires of the F1 car were doing.
It was time to have some fun and play some less serious games. I was surprised to see a Mario Kart arcade game and it looked just as fun as the console version. I then saw the Crazy Taxi game where I decided to be an Uber driver for a bit.
After the show, I was motivated to start up my gaming streaming again. Although I do have an entry level steering wheel setup, DreamHack gave me the opportunity to test multiple set ups and help me decide of my next setup. Be sure to check out the next DreamHack for an incredible gaming festival.
