2026 Ford F-150 King Ranch Review: Southwestern Royalty

The 2026 Ford F-150 King Ranch shows that it is southwestern royalty.

On the outside, the two-tone color of the Star White Metallic Tri-Coat and the Marsh Gray combination, gives it a great look. The grille sports a bit of chrome with the Marsh Gray to help distinguish it from the other F-150 trims. The white shined with the metallic finish that made it stand out more than a more typical basic white finish. This King Ranch had the standard 20” wheels with a chrome-like finish. There is a 22” option, but I think the standard 20” look and ride better.

Getting in is when you start to really enjoy the southwestern luxury. The combination of warm wood, leather, and brushed metal finishes, all come together in harmony. The seat’s were incredibly comfortable with their venting and heated option. I was thankful to see this F-150 had the adjustable pedals, to make sure my shorter wife can reach them, and not have to move her seat too close to the airbag. I also enjoyed seeing the King Ranch badging across the interior of the F-150. The standard 8-speaker Bang & Olufsen system had a great sound, but if it’s somehow not enough, you can opt for the 601A package that includes a 14-speaker setup.

Under the hood, the 3.5L PowerBoost Hybrid V6 was delivering 420 horsepower, and 570 lb.-ft. of torque. That was connected to a 10-speed auto, and this one was in the 4x4 configuration. For 2026, Ford has offered the King Ranch in a 4x2 as the standard configuration. It should allow for additional sales for customers that want the King Ranch ascetics, but have no need for 4x4 drivetrain. With a combination of the 30 gallon fuel tank, and the 23 combined MPGs, long distance road trips will see less stops. Having the Pro Power Onboard 7.2 kW means you’ll have plenty of power for your tools on the construction site or on the farm.

Overall, I enjoyed my time in the 2026 Ford F-150 King Ranch. I felt like southwestern royalty when I was surrounded by the warm tones of the interior. The power from the hybrid system was always plentiful, and the ride quality was excellent.
