2025 Toyota GR Corolla Premium Plus Review: Luxury Added Trim

When you have a raw driver’s car like the 2025 Toyota GR Corolla, sometimes its nice to have some luxuries added back to it. That’s where the Premium Plus trim comes into play for the GR Corolla.

On the exterior, the Premium Plus will get the hood bulge which gives it an even more aggressive look to the front. For the wheels, the design is the same across all trims but the Premium Plus gets the matte finish. It honestly seems more of a hassle to keep the brake dust off of the matte compared to the gloss finish. What you will get in a gloss finish is the rear spoiler and rear lower bumper. What I thought was a dirty roof turned out to be a forged dry carbon roof. You’ll definitely want to protect it to avoid any sun damage or debris from cracking it.

Getting in the GR Corolla Premium Plus is where you’ll see the added costs to the trim. The interior stitching on the seats, shift boot, and parking brake handle will be in red instead of the standard white. If you and your passenger frequently prefer different temperatures, you’ll be happy to know that the Premium Plus adds a dual zone climate. My favorite interior luxury is definitely the JBL 8-speaker including a subwoofer to play those songs to set the driving mood.

Under the bulged hood, you’ll get the same engine but it will have a sub radiator to help keep things cooler. If you plan on taking the GR Corolla to the track, or live in hot climate, you’ll want to consider it to battle any rising temperatures.

Overall, if you’re wanting to daily your driver’s car, with some luxuries, you’ll want to opt for the Premium Plus trim on your 2025 Toyota GR Corolla.
