2025 Kawasaki NAV 4e Review: Not a Golf Cart

The 2025 Kawasaki NAV 4e is not a golf cart! Kawasaki says this is a Personal Transportation Vehicle or PTV. At first I thought it was a marketing campaign but after having it to review, I can see what they meant that it’s not another golf cart and it’s so much more! I got to review the flagship Limited trim but the other trims are just as well equipped.
Starting with the outside, the Metallic Deep Red color offered a great shine in the sun. The Limited offers a brush-guard style bumper that gives an aggressive look to it. I loved the lifted look that gives a suburban side x side thanks to the raised suspension and the 14-inch wheels with 23-inch off-road style tired. The headlights were nice to have when we took the NAV 4e around our neighborhood, at night, to watch 4th Of July fireworks.
Getting in, the black and brown seats were extremely comfortable. Although the seats were leatherette, I was fooled into thinking they were genuine leather from how beautiful the weathering looked on them. All the neighbors that rode in them also commented in how plush the bench seats were. The D-shaped steering wheel gave a sporty like feel to the NAV 4e. Exclusive to the Limited trim, the 7-in screen allowed us to use our iPhones with the built-in Apple CarPlay. We were all enjoying the music coming out of the four 6.5-inch roof-mounted speakers. I did feel like the speakers were lacking a little on bass side of things, but thankfully Kawasaki offers a subwoofer option.
Powering the NAV 4e, a rear-mounted single motor offers 10.7 kW of power and 37.6 lb-ft of torque. It drives the rear wheels and offers a smooth power delivery to its top speed of 19 mph. Both the LE and Limited trim get the Lithium-ion battery which offer a 40 mile range compared to the standard’s 17.5 mile range with the lead-acid batteries. The MacPherson struts up front, and leaf springs in the rear offered a great ride quality. Adding to the great drive experience, the rack and pinion steering was responsive and didn’t have a dead spot like many golf carts often do.
Overall, I was excited to be a part of the golf cart crowd even though the 2025 Kawasaki NAV 4e is definitely a class above that. I saw myself enjoying the neighborhood by just going out for a drive. Like Kawasaki’s slogan says, I definitely “Let the Good Times Roll”.
