Toyota Land Cruiser ROX Quick Look

In 2024, Toyota built a concept vehicle for SEMA. Enter the Land Cruiser ROX, or Recreation Open eXperience. The concept was to make an open air version of the Land Cruiser and Calty Design Researched did a great job at designing it. The classic Spring Green inspired color looked incredible on this ROX.
At the front, the Land Cruiser was guarded by large bumpers with built in lights and winch. The fenders are widened to fit the large wheel and tire combination. TRD designed forged aluminum control arms also helped increase the track width by 8-inches as well as a 4-inch lift.
The 4-doors have about a 1/4th cut off at the bottom to add to the concept of open air design. I really loved the interior color that reminded me of a baseball mitt. The back rocked a rear-mounted spare tire on a bumper carrier. Putting the tailgate down revealed 2 seats to enjoy your view.
Although there are many elements to this concept that can be considered extreme, there are a lot of things that can be put to market from Toyota or TRD. If Toyota doesn’t develop some of the parts, I’d love to see what the aftermarket will take from this concept for the Land Cruiser.
