Rebelle Rally 2025

I have to start with saying that the women of Rebelle Rally are simply badasses! If you’re not familiar with the Rebelle Rally series, it’s an all-women rally that happens across multiple days. As if driving in the middle of nowhere in windy, wet, dry, cold, hot conditions weren’t tough enough, you can’t use any form of GPS. You have a map, rulers, and pencils to make sure if you make a mistake, you can erase!

The event started off with tech inspection in the town of Mammoth Lakes at an elevation of over 7,000 feet. Having come from North Texas and about 500 ft, I was definitely feeling the change. The teams had no time to let the high elevation as it was time to make sure their incredible rigs were safe and functional. I’d have to admit that some of these vehicles had me pricing off-roaders and parts for them.

So how does scoring work? You’re given different points to reach and mark it with the click of a device. Some are clearly marked which offers the least points, and the most difficult offer no markings and will rely on your map calculations. At day 0, the teams are already competing for the starting order for day 1. It was crucial to start early as there were weather reports of rain in the later part of day 1. During day 0, I was capturing the teams drive through dusty roads and against 40 mph wind gusts.

After driving for hours to get to base, the teams were fighting the intense winds to set up their sleeping tents. In the main tent, the teams immediately had their heads down in the maps to prepare for the start of the rally.

It was the morning of day 1 and the teams were getting their coffee, snacks, and their maps. I could feel the anticipation from everyone wanting to get started. The sunrise was the lighting the mountains in the background set the most incredible setting as the teams set off for the day. I was then off to the airport as they continued to endure the conditions for multiple days.
