Having the 2026 Polestar 4 for a week, had me showing off its unique design. Starting on the outside, the Snow color had a lot of life with a metallic finish to it. To help with aerodynamics, the 4 has a sleek and low profile front end. Polestar decided to go bold in the design of the 4, by completely eliminating the rear glass. The rear of the 4 also has aero blades to help with minimizing air disturbance, all in the hopes to make the most of out this EV’s battery range.

Getting in, the interior is all about precision and functionality. The seats were comfortable and finding my sweet spot was easy to do. The flat bottom steering wheel had a great finish and provided excellent feedback of what the tires are doing. I was surprised at how good the Polestar’s user interface was, that I was rarely in my usual Apple CarPlay options.

Of course the Polestar 4 has a rear mirror camera system. I honestly didn’t miss having the rear glass since the screen in the mirror was sharp, bright, and the frame rate was excellent. Not having the rear glass made me realize how much I’m constantly dealing with lifted trucks with unaligned headlights and high beam users behind me. Sitting in the back, I the rear roofline shape allows for the rear seats to sit in a more reclined and comfortable position. You also get more headroom than if the 4 would’ve had a rear glass.

The Polestar 4 I got to review, had a dual electric motor setup. It delivered 544 horsepower and 506 lb.-ft. of torque, with a 280 mile range. If you don’t need all that power, you can opt for the single motor setup that will bump the range to 310 miles. The drivability with all that available power was exceptional. In range mode, you’ll have a decent amount of power available, and if you floor it, all the available power will come on in a smooth power curve. Put it into performance mode, and you’ll have instant access to all the power and it will have you smiling!

Overall, I was loving the 2026 Polestar 4. From the unique styling, the great tech, and the incredible power, this was a major hit during the week.
