2026 Genesis GV70 Review: Looks and Tech Upgraded

Sometimes a model refresh is just small tweaks that might not make a difference. The 2026 Genesis GV70 got some much needed tech tweaks and some slight changes to exterior.

Starting with the outside, the biggest change came from the the headlights. The previous model had a quad projector style system that has now been replaced by Genesis’ new cube-shaped light design. It’s a very futuristic design that still offers great light output. Like a small facelift, the lower grille was slightly pulled back. When you get to the rear, the exhaust tip openings have been changed from the round cannon look, to a teardrop on its side design. I personally think the round design was a better look to compliment the rear of the GV70.

Getting in, you’ll still be greeted by the incredible finishes the Genesis continues to deliver. The Sevilla red interior is for those that want to make a bold statement. The biggest change in the interior is one that myself and others have been wanting. Genesis has finally implemented wireless Apple CarPlay in the GV70! To do so, they did it by implementing their 27” OLED instrument cluster and infotainment screen system. Don’t worry though, you still have the round input device if you’re a fan of controllers over touchscreens.

Under the hood, you still get the incredible 3.5L twin-turbo V6 delivering 375 horsepower and 391 lb.-ft. of torque. The power delivery is still as great as ever and they’ve added a terrain mode that offers a selection of snow, mud and sand in case you want to get a bit adventurous.

Overall, the 2026 Genesis GV70 got the much needed upgrade in the infotainment system and small tweaks in the looks department.
