2026 Genesis GV60 Review: Sport Luxury EV

When I got the 2026 Genesis GV60 to review, I was wondering what had changed since the 2023 model that I had previously reviewed.

Starting on the outside, this one was optioned out with the Tromso Green color. After reading some comments about the 2023 model’s color, I quickly realized that Genesis will offer year-specific colors. If there’s a color you like that is being offered in 2026, make sure you purchase it, because Genesis doesn’t really say which one will be discontinued. The other change I encountered was the reworked front grille which I’d almost classify it as a facelift. The grille is now less Genesis crest-shaped, in exchange for a slimmer mouth-shaped design. The other major exterior change was the use of a single color instead of the two-tone design of before. I initially preferred the two-tone design, but after some time, the Tromso Green was great on its own.

Getting in, there was a modern nostalgic feel to the aqua green and galaxy black interior colors. It took me back to the 80s when brands were offering different colors other than your usual black or white interiors. The main difference from the 2023 was the the much needed slimming down of the steering wheel. The shape was also changed to have a flat bottom or what they call a D-cut shape. The gauge cluster and infotainment are now all one screen instead of 2 that were in the previous model. It allows for a massive one piece look when you’re in the Genesis UI. The other interior change was the vertical wireless charger, has now been changed to a flat horizontal pad.

Under the hood, you’ll find a small compartment that I wouldn’t quite call it a frunk. Underneath that, you have the dual motor system that you get in all the GV60 trims, except the base RWD. With this being the Performance AWD trim, you’ll get 429 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. If you activate the Boost Mode, that bumps up to 483 horsepower for a 10-second period. I usually had the drive mode set to ECO and it made the drivability really nice for every day use. Of course if you want to have fun, the Sport with the Boost Mode will be a blast but be sure to have some respect for the power.

Overall, I think the minor changes from the 2023 to 2026 model have been a nice improvement. It unfortunately still has the awkward twitchy steering that feels like it is rolling on a beach ball in the center. I’m hoping that this gets sorted in the next refresh.
