Mopar Heaven 2026
It was a sudden cold front that hit the North Texas area, but thankfully the Mopar Heaven event, brought the heat! This was the 10th annual event but my first time attending. The selection of cars ranged from vintage Mopars, to brand new Dodge offerings. It wasn’t just the large selection of cars, there was also a large selection of things to do.
We started our day by driving the 2026 Dodge Charger 4-door R/T press car that we were borrowing. Unlike previous Mopar cars I’ve driven that are tail happy under hard acceleration, I loved that the new Chargers are standard with AWD. I was able to get the power down on the highway onramp and put all 420 horsepower safely down onto the wet payment. I was also impressed by the refinement of every aspect of the Charger. The adaptive cruise control reacted in smooth manner, even when the erratic drivers around me weren’t with their lane changes and sudden braking.
Once we arrived, it was all eyes on the new kid on the block in the White Knuckle and Pitch-Black color combo. We parked next to a 2-door full EV Charger Daytona Scat Pack, and it was pretty impressive to see how loaded our entry level R/T actually was. The area we parked was next to the Direct Connection booth which had their catalogs of engine offerings on display.
I think my favorite thing Dodge has done and continues to do, is have bright and exciting color that work well with their models. The whole show felt like it was a bag of Skittles colors spread all around Texas Motor Speedway. With my kid joining me, he got to enjoy the kids zone and even got a Demon logo air brushed on his arm.
Our favorite experience was being a passenger in the Dodge Charger Thrill rides. Professional drivers took 2-door Charger Scat Packs, activated sport mode, press the RWD button, and took us drifting around in autocross style course. It was incredible how effortlessly the Inline 6-cylinder delivered all the 550 horsepower.
Thank you to the Dodge team for inviting my family and I to experience the incredible event that Mopar Heaven put on, at Texas Motor Speedway.
